I want to be able to use the space bar on my keyboard to enter a tick in a cell. Do i do this through a macro? Any sites that will show me how to do this?

I used to be able to put a tick into one cell by just using my keyboard. Cant remember how i did it. Can anyone remind me please. Many thanks.
