expensive doctors, shoulda bought new one?

aint been on for a few days computer was in hospital getting fixed, its all better now and the nice doctor only charged me �270. (was gonna buy a new one for �499) so what has you had fixed that you wish you hadnt?

My boiler, shoulda replaced it last year
DSL router was fried after out toaster tripped our RCD a few times. Thought I just needed a new plug for the router so bought one for �18. The router fried the plug. On closer inspection, a large capacitor had spat a load of white stuff out and there was serious heat damage to the casing... Bought a new router for �80 in the end (it came with a free plug ;o).
Sorry this has absolutely nothing to do with your question - I am just curious as to what you press on your keyboard to get the euro sign : �

Not fixed exactly, but after clearing out my study I found odd cheques from a variety of sources for a few quid here, ten quid there and when i totted them all up they came to 200 smackers. Boy, I wish I had banked those cheques. All out of date now of course.

I also wish I had turned my emmersion heater off. I realised we have had it on since last Februrary and now I could do with those cheques to pay the electric...
