freeview / one scart socket

hi all, i have seen a freeview box in a sale, but it only has 1 scart socket, if i use a scart box with 2 sockets could i connect it to the freeview box, then connect my dvd recorder as well as my tv....

Anyone have one of these? while the picture and sound are great it seems to take an eternity (well a minute) to switch on from standby whereas if it is turned off completely it will come on...
