Nail in wood question made more clear.

My brother, who is a fiend, sent me this nail out of one block of wood.  When you set it upright it looks like an "E only with four extensions for the E instead of three.  It is 6" tall...

One nail in wood

Was sent a homemade puzzle with nail down through three holes in wood, each piece of which extends from narrow piece of wood.  The wood is all one piece and there are five extensions out from it...
