Am I the only one still struggling? Thought I had solved 23d RH side but my solution doesn't fit. Clue is: bringing expression of surprise from Homer (4). I now have c?.r. Help!

Can anyone help with 17d LH side? Live with server and turn against. (4/3) I have .e.a/.a. Also, 25a RH side. Ready to change from the very start (4/3) I have .e.h/.o. I think everyone else finished...

Is There A Mistake In 6 Down Or 16 Across?

6 down Line on map in this other empire (8) must be ISOTHERM and 16 across Nice coppers to lie, almost fooling their senior officer (6, 9) must be POLICE INSPECTOR but the two don't fit together....
