I have a Mira Zest shower (about 12 years old).

For some time the flow of water has continued after switching off - presently about 50 seconds. A couple of years ago I posted this on answerbank and one reply suggested it was probably the solenoid...

toilet seat fittings

The thread of the plastic/nylon nut which fixes the screw to the underside of the toilet fitting has worn away. At present I am using a metal screw but worry that it will bind with rust to the screw...
