hi


what is the differance between temp internet files and temp files in a folder, i delete temp internet files. but can i delete the ones in the folder?

temp internet files are what internet explorer downloads whilst you are surfing, usually to make browsing quicker.



Your temp folder contains things like a copy of attachments you have opened from outlook, zip attachments you have opened without extracting elsewhere.


Yes it's quite safe to delete the contents, however as Windows uses this directory quite a lot don't be worried if there are some files you can't remove, just means Windows is using them, reboot and you should be able to wipe them.

Don't delete anything with the current date. You will probably find that if you delete the folders in the TEMP folder Windows will re-create them when the program runs.
