Wow, The final of The Apprentice was great tonight, but the music was even better - it was actually fantastic! Can anyone tell me please was are the names of some of the pieces of music that were on the programme? Please!!??? Especially the fast piece that was played twice and contains a piano and string quartet and has an irregular rhythm?

Hi. The music is 'The Gravel Road' by James Newton Howard from the film soundtrack for M Night Shyamalan's film 'The Village'.

Cheers

Another piece used last night was Dmitri Shostakovich's 'The Second Waltz'.

Can listen to a clip here

There was also a piece by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra - Think it was was Giles Farnaby's Dream (But I might have the wrong track)
The Penguin Cafe Orchestra piece is "Perpetuum Mobile" (which is in 15/8 time.) Also featured frequently was "Business (Part 1)" from the soundtrack of Plunkett & Maclean.
