Morning all !

Well, despite all the dire warnings of severe weather for yesterday, it was a glorious day here in South Wales...sunny and warm, with hardly any wind and 100% dry ! Just shows that the ruddy Met Office can't get it right every time.

Autumn is beginning to appear in the countryside. I am lucky to have some wonderful countryside around me, and I have noticed that the ivy and the trees are starting to turn a little yellow. Its also obvious that it appears to be a great apple year, judging by the huge amount of ripe fruit I see in people gardens as drive past ! Picked up some early apples from a cottage yesterday after noon, and they are a little underlip but they will last al the longer I suppose. Now looking for some pears today !

My days as a scrumper are long gone Togo, although I was Somerset's Under 15's champion back in the 60's ! Its the climbing over high walls bit that defeats me these days ! Plenty of handmade signs outside farm and cottage gates to sell the apples though. Pears still a bit of a rarity ...not sure why ?

MM...no, not yet, but I should I suppose. I still have all the paperwork. I will try to get down to it next week...pressure of work at the moment is defeating me.....keep nagging me please !

in Norfolk signs said help yourself to apples etc.also tables full of produce..pots, beetroot, corn etc .with a box.sign said leave what you think !! it did not seem to be abused either..boxes always had cash in them..
