will not start

i have a ford transit van its a n reg diesel and i have tried everything to get it to start including new starter motor new fuel filter and it still wont kick in when i turn the key it turns over but wont kick in also wont even bump start help me please

when you turn it over does it smoke badly out the ex?Try pulling out the cut off valve which if your year of transit has one is located on top of the pump the pull out the plunger and replace then give that a go .If that doesnt work the is a red electrical connector on the side of the pump held on with two screws wires normally break.one last thing check to see if diesels getting to the pump smoke out the back would indicate this

firstly, loosen the injector feed pipe nuts. the ones on top of the injectors. then hold the throtle fully open and turn the engine over. is there any fuel squirting out from the joint that you've loosened? if not the fuel cut off solenoid may not be operating.this cuts the fuel off when you turn the ignition off.


also check the timing of the fuel pump, crankshaft and camshaft. these have been known to jump a tooth on the belt sometimes.
