Whenever I lie on my left-hand side, a repetitive gurgle sound is produced, just like the rumblings of an empty stomach except it emanates from the upper chest area. It only happens when I lie on my left, isn't uncomfortable and has been going on for years. Anyone know why this happens, if it happens to anyone else or am I just some sort of freak-boy?

Repetitive gurgling noises are usually caused by the wave-like action of the intestines, called peristalsis. You may be hearing the sound echoing through the body or the bed you are lying on to sound as though it's from the upper chest
