Hi all, I'll be having a consultation meeting on Wednesday, prior to being TUPE'd (under the new TUPE regs) across to a new organisation. Does anyone know what this consultation might entail - should I be preparing in some way?!! Thanks :)

The onus is on the new employer to do most of the talking. Ask about your new T&C of employment, particularly including hours of work, holidays, sickness arrangements, pension arrangements, company's training policy, recruitment policy, policy towards considering internal vacancies and anything else important to you in your work.

Thank you!! I'll sleep easy tonight :)
Please be aware that these meetings can be far too 'official' sometimes. Don't be afraid to ask 'real' questions, things that are going to effect you will also effect others, so I'm sure they'll be grateful if you ask realistic questions such as "will by working hours change?" or "who will ACTUALLY be my employer" or "will my employment be continued or will I start a new contract"..... Good luck.

Thanks again, I'll bear this in mind - I'm making a list of questions I need to ask, as I'm sure they'll all go whizzing out of my mind if I don't write them down and take them into the meeting!

I was TUPE'd last year and things started OK but went downhill fast - make sure that they follow the rules
