/// In tandem, both of them seem to think I am in league with jno and jack - when I and they know full well that both of them are perfectly capable of speaking up for themselves. ///

Then why did you not let them, instead of intensely speaking up on their behalf?
SP, I have no idea about the SA legal procedure.

I'm not comfortable with the accused not being named but an awful lot of information being released about him to help narrow it down though.

/// AOG

Let's start again...

What is it that you wanted to discuss on this story?

I don't know about you, but whenever I post a story, I like to give a little bit of an opinion about it...that helps people either to take a supporting or opposing point of view. ///

And has you know I also generally do, but this time I left it open for others to contribute leaving me free to comment on their input, this is generally how debates start, a subject matter is put up and so the debate starts.

But judging by the response, it has made me once more aware that when dealing with such matters, one should first be aware that certain ABers do not care to see certain derogatory matters being debated, regarding certain individuals, races or religions.

Well a little more information about the Mandela family, let's us see now if we can get this news story back on track.

/// Winnie Mandela then said, following a meeting at her home, that her grandson would be handed over to the police and a press conference would be called. Neither of these two things happened. ///

/// In March 2015, another of Nelson Mandela's grand children faced the media spotlight and criminal charges. Mandla Mandela, a South African member of parliament, was found guilty of beating up a man who had crashed his car into a friend's vehicle in the Eastern Cape. He pistol whipped the man who crashed the car, hospitalising him. ///

/// In June 2015, Nelson Mandela's grandson Zondwa Mandela and Khulubuse Zuma, a nephew of President Jacob Zuma, where found liable for the failed Aurora gold mine. Mandela along with three others were found to have fraudulently represented their ability to fund the mine. The resultant decay put 5,000 workers out of jobs without pay. ///

// "Just because they have a famous surname, they think they can get away with crime.//

Not the case in reality though!
If this person wasn't Mandela's grandson, we wouldn't know anything about this case and nor would we be discussing it.

Whatever happened, it doesn't reflect on Mandela achieved.
Nobody is above the law as many of the Mandela clan know...
"But to answer your question, this is a news report entered on the news section for debate, isn't that what AB is all about".

Yes but you have proved consistently that you are largely incapable of debate because you sit there like a grumpy little spider waiting to jump on anyone who disagrees with you, except a select few who you've deemed "polite".

You wrote:

"certain ABers do not care to see certain derogatory matters being debated, regarding certain individuals, races or religions."

But this isn't about race or religion.

What has race got to do with this?

Surely this is more to do with fame, rather than race?

But looking at your post from 15:32, I am now not sure which track you want to get back onto - I think it may be that you want to be 'derogatory' (your wording) about the Mandela family, and perhaps have others defend what we see as Mandela's legacy.

That's an...interesting...proposition.

Best of luck with this...
I see AOG's additional information as facts pertaining to other family members who have not acted in accordance with the law.

This, of course, in no way establishes the guilt in this case but it is another potential example of inappropriate behaviour. AB'ers can infer what they want or simply be dismissive because of what Nelson achieved.
