I don't really recall much about the incident because I was very drunk at the time and I believe I vomited afterwards. All in all it was a very romantic moment. It was about 5 months ago and I still haven't cleaned the sick off my shoes.

Okay, okay, so I'm lying. It was about 5 months ago though and I think it was during a very intimate and passionate kiss.

My husband and I told each other within about two week of getting together and we started naming our children soon after! It just felt natural.

my bf actually said it to me first during also a passionate kiss (champagne) i was planning on telling him i loved him anyway but he got there first now we just say it everytime we see eachother instead of saying hi its i love you. no im only kidding about the hi bit but we have been together 3 1/2 years now and i still love him the same
my bf sent me a txt a week after aia had met him and on the end he wrote"I love you".I had to read it three times, before I txt back to ask if he meant it!! Which he did.x

Awww those are sweet! So, my dilemma is... I have known my boyfriend 3 years and we have been officially together 7 months, I knew i loved him from the moment i met him but we were both with other people and we have eventually got together which made me the happiest person in the world. He started sending me messages months back when drunk saying i l*** you! which i didnt take much notice of as i wanted him to say it properly and preferably to my face.(he's stopped doing it now anyway!) I haven't said it to him yet as i think to myself i've loved him for this long i can wait a bit longer til i know how he feels, but i'm starting to feel like maybe he doesnt feel the same and if i tell him it will go wrong! am i being stupid and should just tell him regardless of whether he reciprocates?

I imagine if he was sending his I l*** you texts and you haven't responded in any way (totally understand why - drunken text isn't quite as romantic as you might hope for!!!) perhaps he thinks you don't feel the same - else you'd have responded. Perhaps it would be good to make the first move in this - if it's true then that will be great. If he doesn't feel the same way then at least you know don't you - you can decide whether it is still the right relationship for you!

For my part, my boyfriend (now husband) told me he loved me after we'd been together a couple of weeks - we were at a pub and a band was playing live music - 'Wild Thing' - we were singing along and then when it got to the bit about 'I think I love you' - he turned and sang it to me then said - 'I really do'. AAAHHH, it was so lovely, makes me feel all warm inside just thinking about it! Don't know where the romance has gone now though lol!!

If you mean it, find the right moment and go with it!

I'd tell him - go on break with tradition! You never know, he may be waiting for you to say it as well!

Some guys just aren't soppy and gushy.Mine isnt.He says it by txt all the time, but rarely to my face. When I asked him why he said that he finds some things easier to write than say.But if ever I tell him I love him he always says it back, and with feeling.

If you want to tell him that you love him then tell him,see what he says.xx

My husband first told me he loved me over the phone ~ we had a long distance relationship, had been seeing each other 3 months & at the time thought we would break up due to not being able to cope with it..I wanted to jump down the phone line and give him a big hug & kiss but all I could do is tell him I loved him too!

6 months later we moved in together :o)

I'm gonna be brave, take your advice and tell him! think i'll pick the moment carefully though! aaaaaghhh i'm nervous already!!!! thanks guys xx
how exciting, good luck!!

Good on ya caz21 and good luck! Hope you get the response you want!

When I told my ex I loved him after almost a year, he simply said 'no you don't'. Arse.

I think it was after knowing him for about 6 months.

Honestly, I cannot remember his reaction, however, he told me some weeks later and to this day insists that he was the first of the two of us to say it!
