Facebook + "real Names"....

I had a notification from Facebook when I logged in this afternoon that all accounts will have to be in the user's official name, and that I will have to prove that it is with official documents if necessary.

Has anyone else seen this notification? I have one week from today to "prove" that Bathsheba Everdene is my official name.

Oh, that's interesting - must be loads of people using names that aren't their own, you'd think FB would have better things to do.

I haven't seen anything about that, suffice to say I use my real name, now I'm having a job remembering who is who on FB and AB. Looks like a bit of spam to me.

Thanks hc,.....I've realised that the 1st link I posted was rubbish, quite honestly, + I must admit I didn't read it properly first.

I changed my Bathsheba name to my real one on Facebook yesterday. I've just gone into PMs on there to PM a friend with a pseudonym, and saw this

"This message has been temporarily removed because the sender's account requires verification."

Looks like they're having a real good crackdown. Did you provide them with any proof of id?

Nope, just changed my name. I think if I'd kept my Bathsheba name they would have asked for some.
