There is a fault on the engine on my diesel Vectra. I have been informed that the SWIRL POT PORT has seized. What is a swirl pot port and where is it located on the engine of a 2litre deisel Vectra and what does it do ???

A Swirl pot is usually only fitted to diesel engines. It is a little chamber at the top if the cylinder that allows for better mixing of the fuel/Air mixture. To get at this on most cars you would normally need to take of the cylinder head.

i bekieve in this instance its a gizmo that removes unwanted?exceess unburnt fuel in the injection system 25 quid from a breakers probably!
