The correct method is
- see something on the Internet, don't read it properly - how hard can it be?
- plan to make 8
- make 1 and be secretly chuffed with self
- explode 1, jump a mile and swear profusely
- explode another 1 and repeat step above
- clean kitchen
- make 2 more successfully
- explode another 1, swear and clean kitchen
- make 1 more, say 'sod this for a laugh', pour remaining chocolate into a bowl, shove the lot in the fridge and vow never to try anything new ever again
Sherr, my best guess is that they carefully edited out the 'successes' so that they could be a feature in the Friday programme with Jo Brand.
POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!!

Some bookies have suspended betting on GBBO because of 'suspicious activity' surrounding one of the contestants, whose odds started at 12/1, tumbled to 6/1, then 3/1 and evens. Apparently there was a flurry of activity at betting shops (in particular Ladbrokes) in the Ipswich area with maximum bets being placed on a particular contestant - though there is no obvious link between said contestant and the area concerned. It is a precaution bookies take when this sort of thing happens and they fear that the winner's name has been leaked. From what i can gather on oddschecker, there is only one firm still offering odds - betway - and just for interest, early odds are; Nadiya @ 4/5, with Marie 2nd fav @ 7/2. Perhaps Nadiya is the one who has attracted all the Ipswich support?

The betting could be prompted by someone in the kno, or indeed coild just be down to support for a contestant. Only time will tell.
Just seems strange that most of those backing this particular contestant were doing so to the maximum stake allowed - whatever that was. The bookies don't like anyone being 'in the know' - unless it's them, of course.
