And as I have already pointed out, this site is more than just a Private Club for it's members, anyone from anywhere in the world can look in and it is hardly a good marketing strategy to have a forum where squabbles and personal insults hijack informative and intelligent debate.

If I was a sponsor/advertiser (not that I am and I have adbloc), I would discouraged from putting money into AB with this sort of whingeing/insults flying around.

The news section has gone right down my opinion. It used to be a place you could have a good old disagreement on current affaris without resorting to personal insults. Now its full of 'outrage' or the most childish -well actually a more descriptive adjective would be 'senile' nit picking. On one thread a couple of days ago a certain poster posted at least four longish posts, including a vain attempt at google translate , on the fact I'd missed out a comma on a comment I made. Ignoring ,rather than encouraging these posters is the best course of action but it does spoil a good debate.
