Hi 237Sj, Mamyalyyne has it right. An email gets sent every single time the report button is pressed. Each and every report email is read and acted upon accordingly. No idea.
I reported a post several months ago and the post was not changed/removed, nor did I receive an acknowldgement. Was not impressed.

I was just wondering who removes it and what they see. Is it a moderator or the editor? Do they see who reported it and if they do, do they see their log in details?
Presuming you mean here and not on your Email etc...

As far as I now, it is received at AB Towers then the appropriate action taken.

Spam will be removed.

A reported post may be re moved if they agree with your reasons and the poster could be suspended or even banned.

Moderators also do most of the above sometimes a twinkling of an eye.
Forgive typos^
The Editorial Team will see who reported it yes, you need to give your password to report.
And the culprit gets whisked away to N.Korea for retraining.(so I heard)
Hi 237Sj,

Mamyalyyne has it right. An email gets sent every single time the report button is pressed.

Each and every report email is read and acted upon accordingly. The criteria we use are the Site Rules if the post has broken the rules then it is removed.

Perhaps, Pete65, we did not feel the post you reported had broken the rules.

You do need to type in your password to report a post, this is the ensure actual members are doing the reporting, but we don't see that. We do however, see who has reported the post.

Due to the number of emails we get you will not get an acknowledgement of either the reporting, the removal or why.

Hope this helps :-)

Interesting - given the e-mail that I sent across earlier.
do you get a badge for, say, fifty reports?

Thanks for the replies and thank you for explaining Ed. I was just wondering as I reported some spam this morning.
Auntie, thanks for explaining things.
Yes, report was probably not worth bothering about.
I have forgotten the content, now!
I did, in my innocence, expect an acknowledgement though.
