Is it true that a stopped clock will be showing the correct time somewhere in the world?

Because time zones change by increments of one hour (there are a few 1/2 changes), the hour hand will always be correct for somewhere; however, not the minute hand.

It will show the correct time twice in every 24 hours where-ever the clock is.

I know that, Ratter. I want to know if it is the correct time somewhere whenever I look at it.
Yes. Say it was stopped at 7 o'clock and you were looking at it in London at noon. It would be showing the correct time in New York.

Let's say it stopped at 14.43. At 17:00 would it be 14.43 somewhere?
I'd say yes. Somewhere in the mid Atlantic, I think.

Depends what you mean by correct time. If solar time then yes. If restricted to formal time zones then no.
^ And there speaks a man who knows a lot about clocks. ☺
That's cuckoos, not canaries ;-)

Thanks, all. Like gravity, time zones is something I just cannot grasp.
