this featured on midlands today as the top story. essentially hsbc drew the reporter's attention to their "our values" web page, http://www.hsbc.com/citizenship/our-values
and suggested that the conduct of the staff involved fell short of those values, and their positions were therefore untenable. additionaly, the kart track owners are miffed because they feel they are guilty by association and are seeking redress from hsbc.

that said, the social media academic interviewed at aston university said that this is the sort of horseplay you might see in the pub in any group of colleagues, and had they not filmed it, had they not posted it, then no-one would have been any the wiser.

yes, damaging the reputation of HSBC any further can't be easy, but I suppose these guys have done it.
