This thread has been inspired by a thread about colouring books for adults.

What toy, game or pastime do you recall from your childhood that given half a chance you would resurrect today?

I was particularly fond of fuzzy felts and a pegboard where you had had coloured pegs to make a pattern in the pegboard.

Given a chance when visiting someone else's home I was (and still am) completely absorbed by Lego :-)

When I tell my youngest grandchild 12 all the things we use to do and play with he just looks at me as though I come from another planet .

Magical times. Do you think we had heightened senses? New toys, games and annuals (Beano and suchlike, lol) had a special, fantastic smell, don't you think? Unless I've just ruined my senses through years of abuse.

Gness, shortly before my Mum died last year she remembered a Ladybird book we had owned as children called "The Wise Robin" - she always read it to us. How pleased I was for the internet - I managed to get an old copy of it and gave it to her for Christmas with a note saying "Danger - memories ahead!" How we all loved reading it again.

Eccles, I had a solitaire pegboard game which I played with all the time - I still have it!

This wasn't a solitaire game type thing.

It was a white peg board roughly the size of A4 that came with plastic pegs that were smaller than drawing pins, in primary bold colours, I remember primary but not sure if tertiary colours featured.

I have no idea what it was called, it kept it quiet for hours......my Mum loved it for that reason!
