Hello I got this amazing induction hob from a shopping channel.I used to have to wait ages for the pressure cooker to build up pressure.---- it does this very quickly now.The only a disadvantage I can see is that you need pots and pans that attract a magnet or a good stainless steel.has anybody any experience of this way heating and why is it not taken over from other ways of heating cooking utensils.

we are just about to buy a cooker ourselves...

Hi jjaammeess, yes I have all induction hobs and they are great .... the water boils before you have a chance to turn round. I invested in a set of four good pans and went round the shop with a magnet to check! I think it is probably quite expensive and that is why people are put off ???

Hello thanks for your answers --- fortunately I had a set of pans which work with the induction hob.another interesting fact is that the they are 90 percent efficient as against 45 percent efficient for the normal electric cooker.Think of what that would save in one year
I have been flirting with the idea of buying a new induction hob ... so a bit of a heads up would be appreciated. What makes have you got and are you happy, most importantly are they easy to clean? (this is the main reason I want to get shot of my gas hob).

hello The induction hob that I got was only for one pan .it is very easy to clean because the hob does not get very hot and the only disadvantage is that you need and pans that are attracted to a magnet or ones with special stanless steel.and I personally think they are very good and efficient.I happen to have a pressure cooker that I could use on the induction hob and it was much much better than the conventional electric hob.The make that I got was by Paulson and the model was meili .hope this answers some of your queries.
