does this mp3 player use a normal USB connection or is it a USB2.0??

USB2 is a "normal" USB connection, just faster. It needs USB2 too, USB1.1 is very slow.

Oh and btw, don't buy Sony walkman! They use rubbish proprietary formats to lock you in, use terrible software, and try and spy on you. Nice.
