lol, classic stuff.

It's usually the other way round Westenra -Fan, are you feeling quite well?

find a church - here maybe - and ask to speak to a priest.

Actually westnra-Fan...im the opposite....brought up and schooled as a catholic going to school every week.

Cupple of years after leaving schoolI thought it was all a waste of time and became an athiest.

Cant remeber what was the catolyst for that.....various things I think,

I think three's an operation where you have your ability to question removed.

I think they fill the space with guilt

Agree with jno, go find your local church, have a chat to the priest and he will arrange some instruction for you.

Actually I meant I went to "church" every week of course...not achool...I never went there of course.

I agree with Jake....the teachers at my school some of whom were priests did fill your head with guilt about everything u do.

God knows.

Well done Westenra-Fan I am a Catholic and so are all my family.I no longer practice cos I am gay and do not think I could live a celibate life but it is a great religion .If anyone makes fun of you for becoming a Catholic than remember the miracles. There are so many of them they cannot possibly be false. That is what I do anyway.
Forgot to say very BAD taste in music

Surely you need to fisrt examine your reasons for suddenly finding that for you there is such a deity called God.

I don't mean to mock cos it's your life but the Roman Catholic church is extreme and very secretive in all its dealings.

Oh and by the way catholic means universal and should not be confused with roman catholicism.

I should have said that I think 123345 has given a very confused and irrational answer. This should serve as a fair warning to you Westenra-Fan that RC teaching puts the fear of God into its adherents.
Ignore the last posts.Did you know that religious people are 15 percent happier than atheists because they feel they have a supernatural force to help them deal with difficult issues and believe that death is not the end.I would hate to be an atheist thinking that death was the end.

What a lot of old unsupported arrogant tosh you write 123345.

So before anybody decided that your God was the be-all and end -all nobody was happy with their lot. What balderdash. Religion, as you know it, is a comparitively recent phenomonem. Learn your history and you will know that suppresion of the truth 'a la Darwin et al' is typical of the RC heirarchy. You will be stating next that the world was created in 7 days. Yeh - right.

122345 is correct about happiness parkesquay; see here:

jno. I take your point and I don't find it surprising for most of us are brought up in one dogma and mostly label ourselves with a tag such as RC/CofE etc because that is what we grew up with. However religion covers a massive spectrum and surely this thread is about is the RC Church. Looking at 123345s first posting it doesn't seem that he(assumed) is very happy does it. Obviously in public the RC heirarchy don't want to give him the time of day and yet he is extolling its virtues. Is that confusing or what. Hence my posting. It is even more ironic considering what the RC heirarchy have done, and do, to suppress the well known proclivities of many of its priests.
not for me to say whether any given person should be happy parkesquay (and of course I have no idea whether 123345 is above or below average in this respect), but the evidence is that if they're religious, they're more likely to be. Westenra-Fan must judge this for himself or herself.
