All joking aside, this is appalling. And yet there are people in the world today who would have this as a universal law. There has recently been a vocal lobby in the UN to enact such laws across the entire world, so terrified are they of any criticism of their beliefs.

Funnily enough Keyplus, I've done just that. I also have the Hadiths to accompany it to help put the Koran in context and in the correct chronological order. Having read both twice now, I can honestly say that your claims that Islam is a good, honourable and peaceful religion are utterly and demonstrably false.
And you're right - it's not that hard to find out the truth for oneself. This is where you and I find common ground. I too would encourage everyone, both the religious and the non-religious, to read the Koran for themselves. Only then will the true horror of this religion be exposed to the general population.
