Rcd 510 In Golf Mark Vi Not Showing Track Info When Playing Cd

My golf Mark VI has an RCD 510 audio system, which now had decided not to display track/artist info when playing cds. The relevant box which gives the option to hide or display this information is ticked correctly. I'm sure the information was shown in the past but just lately it doesn't display. It doesn't matter whether the cds are brand new ones or old ones from my collection they just come up with Track 1 Track 2 etc. Its quite frustrating to say the least. Does anyone have any ideas?

are you playing copies? some CD Players will not play these.
