i recently lost my nan to cancer i cared for her for her last few months and obviously this has left me depressed, the doctor gave me anti-depressants which made me feel awful so i stopped taking them and took up running and started to feel better, but a few days ago my son broke my toe when he dropped a new york taxi on it (not a real one a toy one!!) so i cant run at the moment im now starting to feel really low again, do you no anything that could pick me up for a while until i can start running again.

hiya, glad you've found that excercise is the best thing for depression. You could do a floor workout, all your actually trying to achieve is the release of endorphins and they will eventually come with any sort of excercise, so you could do an upper body workout sitting on the lounge floor. Alternatively you could try meditation, mediatating on running water ( as a subject, waterfalls etc) usually is a good thing for depression I've found , although if you have a littly they aren't always condusive to relaxing:)

A pampering session always does it for me. Face mask, relax in the tub, glass of chardonnay, chocolate and a good soppy chick flick or book.
