I want it to look sleek and shiny like on the adverts but don't always get time to straighten it (4 young kids!)

Try Tresemme, not sure what it's called, says something about hair like straw on the bottle,[not very flattering I'll admit.....but does the trick], is a bit expensive but Superdrug had it BOGOF recently.
Lisa x
fructis sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner, then use the sleek and shine serum,it works wonders!! you could have some layers put in your hair to thin it a little but not losing any length.x
Try Brilliant Brunette moisturizing shampoo (John Freida)- and afterwards, use Frizz free hair serum (John Frieda again) to rub in your hair while its still wet, to get the sleek look.
I agree with jump79. Brilliant Brunette (they also do blonde and red versions) is fantastic though quite expensive. Boots often do a 3 for 2 on it.
Charles Worthington's shampoo & conditioner works wonders on my hair (green bottles for the sleek look) the serum's great too, most serums make my hair look greasy but this one doesn't..... I think you'll prolly get a 3 for 2 offer in boots on that just now but I'll warn you that it's roughly 4 - 5 per item and the bottles aren't very big.
I've just started using Rehab shampoo and Retread conditioner from Lush. They are wonderful!!! It's made my hair mega shiny.x
