I've just checked out your link in the baby name question -how do you pronounce the name 'Aoife'? I've got no idea where to start with Gaelic pronunciation!

EE-fa.
I thought I was just pronounced like Eve
no its EEfa deffo!
incidentally, the meaning of which is "beautiful, radiant, joyful." Known as the greatest woman warrior in the world, Aoife was the mother of Cuchulainn's (read the legend) only son, Connlach. Aoife Dearg ("Red Aoife") was a daughter of a king of Connacht who had her marriage arranged by St. Patrick himself. Found a cool site with the meanings, pronuniciation, etc of most Irish names (if you're interested) http://www.babynamesofireland.com/
Oops I'd better start saying it right. Sorry for being misleading saffstar.
you can prponounce it three ways, Eva, Ava, or Ee-fa
