Reading, writing, crosswords, puzzles, gardening, learning a new language,
shopping (a chore) housework (another chore), keeping in touch with friends and family, trying out new recipes, sewing, knitting, crocheting, walking, planning holidays, looking after grandchildren, genealogy, online scrabble, AB, Streetlife. Do miss work though.
Our village truant, boy racer, thief, burglar (did my house) heroin addict didnt want to enter adult prison. He started litter picking to now managing the council tip. Has a council flat, gf & been clean for 10y.

Go litter picking, who knows what it leads to, good luck.
college course. you would get funding.
If there is a local bowls club who cares?
Hopkirk, is that what retired people should do?
Heaven forfend
How bored can one get?
I agree with Daisy. When it's time to play bowls it's time to die. Hope the day never comes.
It all sounds a bit worthy though - I was hoping for rather more sex&drugs&rock&roll ... and big motorbikes, obviously ...
I have played bowls since my twenties and I'm far from dead........believe me.... ;-)

Mind you...sex, drugs, rock and roll and big motorbikes aren't to be sniffed at either....☺
Worthy?
Sex? No known males .
Drugs? Contact my doctor. Have not seen him for over a year. Perhaps he thinks I am dead.
Rock 'n' Roll? Igneus ciabatta?
Motorbikes? Ruined a beautiful pair of white stillettos when on the back of a bike cornering sharply when I was 16.
I went as a volunteer helper at the local primary school, reading, helping with art projects (glue and sparkles!) going on educational outings etc, found it very rewarding, and when my husband died it gave me purpose in my life, and I made some very good friends
I walk a lot. I've joined a gym. I go to Zumba. I meet friends.
I am fortunate to have good health so If I've done my own chores, helping my friends with theirs, there is always something to do, as I type my Grand daughter's Dad has just rung up, she is stuck in the bathroom due to the handle snapping, as said, there is always something to do.
