Hello there, update and a Q. I have had my ears syringed and although one ear is now fine the other ear is still ringing and there is a slight numbness to it when I touch it. My hearing is also still severely impaired in that ear. The nurse said that all the wax was now gone. I have made a GP appointment for Thursday. What could be causing these symptoms?

\\\\ What could be causing these symptoms?\\\

You are asking for the causes of deafness in one ear after syringing.

There are many and enumerating them or giving your a "proverbial link" would serve no purpose in your case and in my opinion.

You need to see your GP.

After saying that, it is my opinion that you should see an ENT specialist for audiological evaluation and further assessment.

I feel that i must add that i have little confidence in GPs opinions concerning disorders of hearing.

Sorry for the delay I am still new to this site. I have seen my GP and he thinks it's a sinus problem as he said the ear looks fine.
