If you live anywhere near the North East region.......Dainty Supplies in Washington (Co Durham) are excellent & very reasonable.

A xXx

chat up a local business person and get them to get you some from the local cash & carry...our cash and carry in Plymouth do huge 5kg bags of them - not sure how many are in it but its a huge bag!

could get them at www.villagesweetshop.com for about 16.

or at www.favourboxed.co.uk you can get a kilo for 6.95 which amounts to about 240 almonds.

Good luck!

A curious question. Should we be offering our congratulations to someone?

For ease, Tesco do them in big plastic containers in the asian food aisle.

Yes thanks guys! Mrs JO the favour boxed link doesnt work.........any ideas?
Nothing to do with the favours for the ladies you are wanting for a wedding (assumption). But I went to a wedding where every table had a disposable camera on it, with a request for everyone at the table to take photos of everyone at the table. That way the Bride and Groom had a memory of each person who was there, what they were wearing, who was sat with who, etc etc, all of which can be a blur as there are more important things to think/worry about on the day. But a great memory for the days/weeks to come, when still on a high. Have a great day.
When my son got married we made favour boxes with love hearts in them and all the guests thought it was a great idea. Or how about a lottery ticket each for the men.

why just the men?!! lol
I was still thinking of boxes for ladies and the tickets for men but you could get them for both.
We made favours from squares of chiffon/silk with almonds inside tied up with ribbon and they doubled up as place names with a pretty tag with the name tied on them. For the very young children we put a little teddy with a name tag on it. Everyone had a small packet of love hearts on the table and there were disposable cameras! It seemed to cover all bases! We also gave out party bags to the kids with note pad/games/party hats etc at the end of the meal to keep them occupied during the speeches and that went down really well. Have fun.
Question Author
did you have to sow the chiffon/silk? or just gather ir up with a ribbon? Ive bought material to do this but am now having probs with the technicalities of it!
Question Author
sew sorry!
ooops sorry should have been www.favourboxes.co.uk that link should work!
we cut the material into generous squares using pinking shears to give a pretty edge and secured them with ribbon. no sewing. we used a translucent chiffon over a matt silk. you will need quite a lot of material actually but it is worth it- they look great

Julian Graves do them - not sure if theyre just down south though.

My sister ( who we call Hell's bells) had disposable cameras at her wedding 5 years ago. One of them went astray and was found by someone in their suit pocket recently. The pics still developoed well and it was nice to see some different ones a few years on!
