I have been taking cocodamol 30/500 1 every so often over the last few days as I am in terrible pain with toothache despite being on antibiotics for an abscess but 1 is not really helping and I want to take 2 problem is 1 makes me feel a bit weird sort of euphoric and light headed so I don't know how 2 will make me feel. Anyone on this drug for pain

Just a quick thanks to BA_V for setting me straight and to Mamya for what was an interesting article.

Does anyone know: Is Difflam oral rinse still available? Is it prescription-only?

Hypognosis: Difflam oral rinse is still available and is still an OTC drug.
Lloyd's and Boots sell it from what I recall. My step dad uses it alongside anti-fungal wash he has to take.
Yes I use it quite often.
I've just checked and both pharmacies are prescription-only. You can buy it without though from other sites. Ebay UK for starters.
There's no reason why it should be prescription only as it's non steroidal. Sounds a little silly to me but then again it's probably because of other properties which are likeable to street drug users - nothing would surprise me!
@Dizmo,

thanks. I Googled it and NHS site suggests taking medical advice before use (list of reasons).

I wasn't sure what you meant by street drug user interest but the article does explain that the solution contains alcohol but it's a 'do not swallow' medication. Street drinkers would ignore that ("hey, cheap booze") and end up poisoning themselves, which medical practitioners would wish to avoid.

I'm surprised your dentist told you to wait til the 28th. If he knew the tooth needed to come out he should have done it straightaway. I hope you get it sorted. Meanwhile, as others have said , 2 cocodomol will be ok.
