If your fan has stopped working you could try to remove the dust build up in the fan outlet area with a vacuum cleaner . After you have tried this and the fan still doesn't work the you will have to get it replaced. You cant use an outside fan because the fan in your laptop sits over the cpu and works to remove the heat generated during processing whilst you are using it. I would suggest you take your laptop in to a computer repair place and get them to give you a price to replace the fan.
