Well done Shirley Williams for speaking out, praising and supporting the work that Gordon Brown did for the nation, especially when he stepped in to sway the vote for Unity within the United kingdom.

I know that GB has taken a lot of flak over the years, but I've always liked and respected him. I've met him a few times , many years ago, in Edinburgh. I have great respect for the man. He does excellent work for children and for many charities. I will not hear a word said against him !
Sorry folks, he was a dreadful man, imo. One thing I will say for him, he seemed interested in power for power's sake. Unlike most of his colleagues who used it to line their own pockets.
'An end to boom & bust'?
He was half right. He certainly put an end to boom.
Dimbleby said that Farage is one the panel next week.

Name any other MP who has appeared four times or more, in the last 12 months?

Hislop appears more often than most guests but only twice that I can think of in the time period I'm thinking of.

I'm sick and tired of Farage getting all this free publicity from the Beeb and want to know what power he holds over their execs.

Hooray!
I wonder if the Beeb will dare to bus in one of their ridiculous, tanked up, left wing audiences. They must know that more and more people are noticing.
Anyone spot my deliberate mistake?

I referred to Mr F as "MP". He is, of course, a MEP. Which pays far, far, better, even when you hardly ever show up for work.

;)
To be fair, Tony only got into power because everybody wanted to boot the Tories out. None of us had any idea what Nulabour was going to turn out like.

And, to be fair, the electorate had Gordon Brown foisted on them. I don't know if he was the first PM ever to get into power other than by the conventional general election process (erm, Thatcher to Major?) but, hopefully, that will be the last time that is allowed.
