oil warning light on Toyota Corolla

For the past two days now the oil warning light has been flashing on and off. I've checked the oil level and it's fine, what else could be causing it?

if the engine is still running i would suggest an electrical problem, likely the oil pressure switch. the warning light tells you that the engine oil pressure is dangerously low, not how much is in the engine. if the engine is not making any expensive noises or smoking excessively, thats where i would check first.
