I have recently started a second job as a university tutor. Much of the work is from home. I have been told that there are several things which I can claim refunds for from the Inland Revenue. My two jobs are both PAYE and I don't have tax returns to fill in. How do I go about getting the refunds?

Thanks, Ethel!
Hi telfer, the one thing to be careful about regarding tax, if you claim a room in your house as office space, when you sell the house they can come after you for part of the proceeds as it is regarded as a buisiness venture I am not sure exactly how it works, but if i were you I would have a word with an accontant first, short term gain isn't allways the best way to go, that is, if that is one of the things you are thinking of claiming for of course, if it isn't it is pretty dumb advice!!!
