I aimed to zombie myself up for work today, but I woke up at 38 minutes past the hour and had a lift waiting for 45 minutes past. I think I looked scarier for only having 7 minutes to wash, dress and get myself ready than if I'd actually tried! The severe lack of caffeine and nicotine at that time of morning made many people rather fearful of me.

We are celebrating Samhain, all is safely gathered in, wood for fires for the winter in the shed and a larder (freezer) full of veg from the garden. We will have a bonfire , light some candles and drink some mulled wine. We will brink in a light from the bonfire to light the house fire and leave some food out for the fairies.

Water leak solved though, how a little, tiny split can lose 30 bath loads a day equivalent, who knows.....
