38d agree with alignment.

11d and 56a seem to be errors in the crossword.
I don't like it either but it is more acceptable than 'private member'

I have plumped for 'swingletree' for 56 across (no clue) as there are not many other words fit in. A swingletree is part of a coach or carriage
twinkle toes and twinkle-toed would also fit.
Yes, if you look in Crosswords section (just below Chatterbank in the Topics list) you'll see all the other threads that discuss this
Based purely on what I've read on this site, I would say:

The clue for 11d bears no relation to the solution, 'Cautious, meticulous (7)' being a (very accurate) clue for CAREFUL. The entry must surely be PRIVATE MEMBER.

The similarly clue-deficient 56a would appear to be a choice between (a) SWINGLETREE, (b) TWINKLETOES and (c) TWINKLE-TOED. Collins gives only (a), Chambers gives (a) and (b), the Oxford Dictionary gives (a) and (c), The Shorter OED gives them all, and the OED (the big one) gives only (a). Good luck!!
