Sorry, I got carried away there. I really meant to say I had a look at Delia's Creole Christmas Cake and felt quite drunk just reading it, but it sounds delicious so might try it.

Starone, the Creole cake does sound like an alcoholic's idea of heaven but in fact after the fruit has been soaked for a week, or as I once forgot about it, a month, there's only flavour left and it's quite different from other Christmas cakes, very moist and excellent with cheese.
