Slappy, I agree. I LOVE Tom Sharpe and have all his books, Sadly, we'll now never now what happens to his 4 vile quads in the Wilt series.
Could send them to Syria.... they'd sort ISIS out.. ;0)
Slappy, they already wear them... on their faces !! Well, at least, that is what they look like !
Isn't she the German Chancellor?
lol.... like that..... I'll not look at a news bulletin the same again
Tom Sharpe's first book 'Riotous Assembly' about the situation in South Africa during apartheid was so funny it took me a week to read it. I literally kept falling on the floor helpless with laughter. Sometimes it took an hour or more before I could stop laughing enough to continue reading.
The book so incensed the SA government that it got him deported from South Africa where he lived as it so effectively took the p*** out of apartheid .
^^ Sorry wrong thread again ,I don't know what is wrong my PC keeps jumping back to this thread.
Eddie, his follow up to Riotous Assembly was Indecent Exposure. Even funnier.
Eddie, some people lose their hair unwillingly.

I don't know why people assume these are only for women.
incidentally, long-term filmgoers will be acquainted with the word

janbee all Tom Sharp's books were hilarious , but in my opinion 'Riotous Assembly' was the best of all. I still laugh to myself when I picture Konstable Ells ( was that the name?) his hopeless incompetence .
Balthazar Verkamp and Dr Bloemenstien..... I nearly wet myself and Els; Els was a brilliant character and his interaction with Van Heerden was brilliant. Sharpe is one of THE BEST COMEDY authors of the lot... Brilliant stuff, all of it, anachronistic, relevent and damn funny at the same time hard to pull that one off.
Slappy, ^^^ my opinion too.
Merkin is how under-sea dwellers refer to their extended family.
