and sat here this past hour, trying to identify a phantom (birdie) wolf whistler.
Can't see the culprit, but I can certainly hear him/her every few seconds.
Each time it is exactly the same pitch. Anything from 1 to 4 repetitions, I lied, I have just counted at least ten !
Any ideas anyone?
There it goes again, no sleep for me I guess.

Deff a builder's wolf whistle, the wretch is STILL at it.
Poor you :( what can say - only hope it doesn't keep you up unitl the dawn chorus
You are lucky - this wolf was woken by a 'starving' Tom cat digging claws into my arm whilst his sister stomped all over me. Cats are incapable of surviving a whole night without being fed.

Now that they are finished the meat in jelly they are off back to bed.

Dawn chorus I can cope with, incessant wolf whistling just gets on my chesticles.

Just fed my near death furs too Wolf, whatever did they do before us humans happened along?
I am just away to watch BBC2's Cat Watch on the player. I was a dog lover, all I wanted was a dog. When my second dog died I decided to get a cat. I reasoned that they were just like small dogs.

Twelve years of being a cat slave have shown me that we know absolutely nothing about them. I find them fascinating.

I live in a city centre and the cats stay indoors. They are siblings and they hate each other.

I am a crazy cat lady - middle aged, single and childless. Scary!

EXACTLY like that, Tuvok, wow!!
And I know I get lots of finches in the garden on the sunflower hearts feeder.
We see lots of gold finches, and fewer green finches. The goldies make a lovely noise en masse. But never really heard much from the greens. Wow!
