i don't know whether i'm right to post this here or in food and drink but, having watched Corrie tonight, i wondered if anyone can shed any light as to what a Scoth and thret is. Fred Elliot always orders one and it has been bugging me for ages not knowing what it is. Thanks

I always presumed- now I could be wrong here- that it's scotch and thread, and that the thread in question is tonic water?

i read years ago that its basically just a straight scotch. its called scotch and threat cos of the 'threat of water' so his drink is just neat scotch.


mind you that could have been made up and i just believed it cos i am that stupid!

Thats right it is Neat Scotch .
Scotch and threat is not neat scotch but a scotch with a touch (threat) of water
