No reason at all, its plausible, what you choose to believe or not, is up to you, its far fetched, but without absolute proof, thats what it is, a theory.
'cos it's a Dan Brown story

Lonnie.. I mean no disrespect but.. "far fetched"??.

Which bit of the whole bible thing don't you find "far fetched"?

It's all cobblers and uses assumtions rather than facts to progress the central thread.
It was published to make the publishers and author rich
Are we talking about the 'bible' or the Movie here?
don`t get caught up in the roots of the theory, just read the book, enjoy the thriller, then read another book
I think it has made some people realise that there could an alternative, and that you don't have to accept what is claimed in the Bible. Even if it is absoulte tripe, it's always good to see another side to the story and be able to draw your own conclusions from it. I have struggled with the concept of Jesus being divine my whole life, and I actually found reading this book quite a relief. It made me feel that it was ok to doubt the New Testament, and I finally came to accept that I didn't have to believe in the stories from the bible, and now I feel that a weight has been lifted. I don't even need to know what the truth is...how liberating!!!
I wish more people would be enlightened like you Scooby it would make the world a safer place.
becuase you find it in the fiction section of the bookshop
