My 1989 1.4 205 Pug's interior lights don't come on. It's the same for both front doors. The interior switch works in the permanent position, but on testing the " doors open " position there is no current reaching the switch. I've checked the fuse but that's fine.
The boot light works fine.
Has anyone come across this before, or anyone any ideas please?

Check the plunger switches on the door frame, could be that the plunger(s) are sticking or the wires to them are dirty or damaged.
Dodgy earth at the pinswitch. They're often earthed via the screw holding the switch in place and if there's rust about there's a poor contact.
Take out the Light itself, remove the bulb, clean the contact area of the bulb, replace the bulb with a new one ( about a £1) then replace.
