Be very careful unless you are already on a water meter.

Every water company in the country can force metering on you in certain situations, including a swimming pool.

And it is obvious that you cannot fill a swimming pool during a ban.

If the ban doesn't work - it will be standpipes. I would love to see you hauling enough buckets of water to fill your pool.

Rainwater is free. You might get lucky with a few downpours. Get a water butt and attach it to your shed or grreen house maybe. Possibly even use water from the roof drain.

swimming pools recycle water as they have already paid to heat the pool water to approx 30C (which is extremely expensive) so the only water that gets wasted is the stuff that drips from you in the showers and changing rooms hence the make up water is "a drop in the ocean" sorry about the pun.

Fill it with a bucket,if you start now it should be ready for a nice warm july, good luck!!
eh? I gave the same answer as Ethel but its not there now - what's that all about?

I cannot believe that someone can ask a question as stupid as this one. If it is not a stupid question please explain the point of it.

I thought if the law was protecting the future supply of water I would understand. Does this person understand that it makes no difference to people in drought areas in other parts of the world what we do, but it does to ourselves .

hotspurs are you real ?

To be fair to hotspurs, the question is can you? not I want to,so we don't know if hotspurs actually wants to do we !!
Sorry
You can fill the pool if it is to be used for medical purposes. i work for one of the companies that has applied for a drought order.
The Thames Water Website says you can fill a swimming pool during the ban
