We went there today. there were some baby alpacas, so cute, BUT. Nearby was a stall selling sausages, there were many different types including zebra, kangaroo,
wild boar and would you believe it alpaca sausages! How insensitive! It got me thinking would an alpaca know if it was fed some?
How do we know if these sausages actually do contain the animal they say so?

Wild boar I might buy, the rest, no. Our local Aldi had kangaroo steaks a few weeks ago and they went like hot cakes. They've not had them in since.

i did buy some duck sausages also duck and ginger ones. Not tried them yet though.
Morning Caran. I'd have come up if Id known you were there. The sausages will contain the meat they say. controls are very strict. Alpacas are herbivores, so wouldn't eat them. :o}
how did you know they were alpaca? were they covered in soft fluffy wool?

i'll get me coat.
There is an alpaca farm up in the hills near me here in South Wales. Last summer I stopped on the side of the road and had a long chat with the woman who owns the place and she told me everything about alpacas. But after about 10 mins I blotted my copybook completely by asking if they were good eating ! Interview with lady over with immediate effect...she couldn't possibly think of eating here babies apparently.

I only asked !
Yes, I would buy the duck sausages, I like duck.
