Update for anyone who's interested.
On the 7th I sent a long e-mail to the Ombudsman saying Scottish Power have admitted being at fault and offered £30 as a goodwill gesture.
However, I said, I wasn't bothered about the money but would like to see the companies sanctioned so they don't treat another customer in a similar fashion.
Just had a very short e-mail from the Ombudsman saying, literally, 'we see that have(sic) reached a satisfactory resolution to your complaint.
We have closed the case.'
