Recipe For Coconut Cherry Cake

When I was much younger, there was this coconut cherry cake my late Aunt used to bake. The cake was in to parts, the bottom was plain vanilla cake with cherries cut into pieces and the top part on the cake was a crunchy coconut cake. I have searched online and various cake recipe books but can seem to find this particular recipe (there are various cherry coconut recipes). Would be glad if anyone could help out with this recipe. Thank you.
